Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

It has taken a few years, but finally the Nintendo Wii console has taken off, with a plethora of new releases from all different gaming genres finally available to the public.

After the slow start and mediocre game-play, we are now seeing all types of games one would never have thought imaginable on the console, such as skateboarding games, driving games and first player shooting games.

The expected release of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a perfect example of the purple patch experienced by Wii.

First player shooting games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil had been so successful on other gaming devices many felt there was no need to delve into the unknown.

However, software developers, Konami, have done just this, creating a game by which users can the Wii Remote and Nunchuk for a virtual killing spree.

The game itself is more of an addition to the previous version of Silent Hill, and is believed to be more of an experiment into the Wii world rather than a massive upgrade to an already successful game.

The most notable change in Shattered Memories is the fact the game doesn’t feature any sort of traditional combat, and has definitely catered for the new gaming audience.

The plot begins when Harry Mason ventures into Silent Hill to find his daughter after a sudden car accident. He then encounters enemies and enters a journey into a world of adventure, random attacks and survival.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a decent addition to the franchise of the game, and a nice way to experience it in the Wii format.

It will be available for purchase on December 8.
