Puzzlegeddon

It really is amazing how puzzle games continue to be so successful, even with the amazing new releases we are having in the video game world.

Better graphics, faster action and amazing capabilities are things one would think would spell the end for the 2D, basic puzzle games.

However, this is not the case, if anything, the winning game play that has lasted almost a half a century continues to get more and more popular.

One of the games is Puzzlegeddon, a video game all about solving puzzles to work your way through a fantasy world.

Puzzlegeddon brings to life the mythical fire and brimstone in a competitive puzzle game that urges players to forcibly attack their opponents by chaining together strings of high-scoring combos.

The only real problem with puzzle games like this, is that the really don’t have the ability to entice you, or hook you for a longer period than ten minutes.

Basically, they are a perfect game for a quick play in between meetings, or while waiting in line, but other than that, they fail to totally captivate users.

Aside from the standard battle matches, there is only another mode users can play.

Poison Peril swaps out the brightly colored blocks for ones adorned with a skull, casket, and other gothic imagery.

In this mode, you have to deal with evil blocks as well. If you form a chain with a poisoned block nearby, you damage yourself.

You can only take so many hits before your game is finished, which creates a feeling of tension as you carefully weigh all your options.

All in all, Puzzlegeddon is another OK release in the puzzle genre.
