A lot of Role Playing Games (RPG) these days are becoming more and more like each other, with similar looking amine characters, and almost identical soothing soundtracks.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, however, is a new RPG release that is far from the stereotypes of its predecessors.
The puzzles might not be great, but Clash of Heroes offers intriguing hybrid game play, engaging role-playing elements, and a great presentation to make up for.
Clash of Heroes lets you play as a hero character from one of several factions, each of which produced a different set of fabulous warriors and monsters of varying levels of power to join your hero’s quest.
And for those of you who are fans of the Heroes series, you will be pleasantly surprised to see several references to it throughout the game.
For example, various Heroes factions and critters, such as the mystical wizard’s tower and the demonic inferno make an appearance in Clash of Heroes.
And just like in the Heroes series, in this game, you play as a hero that gains experience levels, collects gold and resources, and hires more-powerful creatures from places as they become available.
The principal of the game is based around head to head battles on puzzle grounds.
These battles take place on two 8-by-6 grids, one on the upper DS screen and one on the lower screen, that are filled with military units of various colors.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is out now and a good buy for any hardcore RPG gamer.
