Matt Hazard is back in yet another video game release by the developer crew at Vicious Cycle.
The new release, Matt Hazard, Blood Bath and Beyond is another blood and guts video game involving only a 2-D layout.
The return of Matt Hazard is actually quite a comical part of the video game and it really should have been more of a central theme throughout the game.
The basic plot involves Matt Hazard, who has to rescue the person he holds most near to his heart: himself.
His death would change history, causing the present-day Hazard to die an untimely death also.
Therefore, it’s a convoluted story that never expects you to accept the ridiculous narration.
Blood Bath takes frequent jabs at its own inane logic, poking fun at the ludicrous situation and trying to figure out if time travel really can change the present.
There are many jokes along the way, and moments where you will laugh out loud form what is going on in while playing.
There are eight levels in the game, and all play out quite similarly to each other.
The major problem with Blood Bath and Beyond is that to the normal video game player, it is just another 2-D shooting game, with basically the same concept as any other game.
The one way it could have separated itself form the norm was via the quirky parodies of the main character, which it failed to achieve.
