At heart, every gamer loves smashing hordes of zombies to pieces with guns, bombs and whatever else you can get your hands on.
That’s the experience that Left 4 Dead delivered, and it is what Left 4 Dead 2 is aiming to do when it hits the stores in November.
The new game will feature five campaigns (the original had four) and there are some significant changes that have been brought about.
The first change that needs to be noted is the vastly different weaponry available to your player.
In game one, you were forced to kill your flesh-eating foes only with guns and bombs, but now you can cause serious carnage in close-range melee combat. In this mode the chainsaw and frying pan (yes, frying pan) will be your best friends.
Updates to existing weapons will also occur, and more modification options will come in the form of items – such as incendiary bullets – that will be used to supplement your main arms.
Another element worth noting is that the game takes place in broad daylight – a nice visual change from the original – and will progress from the easygoing plains of Savannah, Georgia to New Orleans, Louisiana.
If you loved the original you will surely enjoy the sequel, which will bring four new characters for you to meet and fight with.
