Just Dance

Just Dance is the newest dancing video game by Nintendo Wii.

The new release requires users to shake their booty and buckle at the hips in order to acquire points and post a top score.

The good thing about the game is that it does not expect you to be a superstar dancer, and basically makes it as easy as it can be for any uncoordinated player.

The basis of Just Dance is simple: You pick a song to dance to, hold the Wii Remote in your hand, and copy the moves of the virtual dancer onscreen.

The simplicity really makes the game appealing to newcomers, and is easy for those who worry about learning complex control schemes.

Up to four players can get together for a dance-off, each competing for points, which are awarded based on movements tracked by the Wii Remote.

At the end of each song you are given an overall score and can see how it compares to your opponents.

One of the letdowns with the release is that is does not allow you to begin a career mode, and there is also know customizing of characters or the downloading of songs.

The bottom line is that the omission of some key ingredients, coupled with the lack of depth the game offers, leaves for a video game lacking that extra punch needed to succeed.

In summary, Just Dance is a great game for a group of friends with some time to kill, but while it is great in bursts, the novelty will wear off too early.
