Grand Theft Auto: Liberty

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty Review is the latest addition to the car racing franchise that has literally blown away the video game world.

If you’re familiar with the game, then you pretty much know what to expect, a whole bunch of fighting, stealing cars and speeding away just in touch to avoid arrest by the police.

The included episodes in the release are The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

The two take place concurrently with the original game’s storyline, and while each introduces a handful of new features, the core game play remains largely unchanged.

One bad thing about this is that the flaws in the earlier title are still evident in the follow-ups.

But that’s not to worry, the positives far outweigh those blemishes and it really shouldn’t discount the game.

One cool feature which was added to the The Lost and Damned add on, and which also made it into The Ballad of Gay Tony, is a mission checkpoint system.

Some of the missions take ages to complete, and a good number of them involve riding or driving to locations that might be a good distance away before any action even gets under way.

In previous versions of the game, failing these missions meant restarting them from the beginning, annoying the crap out of the user.

But now, the checkpoint system addresses that problem by giving you the option to restart from the last checkpoint that you made it through successfully.

Both games have been released simultaneously on PC, but staggered on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
