TV is a great medium for learning different recipes on how to cook a good meal. But, if you’re keen on putting what you learn into practice, Food Network: Cook or be Cooked is the game for you.
Teaming up with the popular network, gaming developer, Red Fly, has released a full-blown kitchen extravaganza where users can get their hands dirty, without getting them dirty, if you know what I mean.
Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked to let Wii owners experiment in the kitchen without the dangers of cutting themselves or burning the house down.
Food Network personalities Susie Fogelson and Mory Thomas, take the role as hosts of the game, giving you all the tips and tricks you need in the kitchen as you go along.
In the game, users will have over 30 recipes to choose, ranging from Chinese take away, to eggs and bacon.
Users play the game using the Wii remote and nunchuck, adding to the virtual experience of really being in the kitchen. Things are easy to pick up and move, and cutting up ingredients is a sight to see.
When you have finished cooking your meal, the game’s hosts will taste the creation and give you a rating, gold, silver or bronze.
In terms of added extras, a great additional feature is the split screen cook-off the game offers, where you can go head to head with another player in the kitchen.
Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked is the closest we’ve seen to a realistic cooking game and is a great addition to any kitchen lover’s archive.
The game will be released on Wii November 3.
