Darksiders

There are plenty of video games out there that are focused on you preventing the end of the world, or ensuring that you, the good guy, saves the day.

The great thing about Vigil Games’ new release, Darksiders, is that you actually get to take part in the end of the world!

Darksiders is clearly influenced by games like God of War and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and other games in the ilk.

But what makes it that little bit different to those is that Darksiders offers an expansive world to explore, with satisfying combat and intriguing puzzles to solve peppered throughout.

While the actual story line is boring and at times overly complex, the actual game play of the game is really a thoroughly fun and visually engaging adventure that manages to take some old ideas and transform them into fresh ones yet again.

The aim of the game is pretty basic. As the enforcer of the Charred Council, you apply pressure to make sure that both sides play fair in their endless bickering.

While wandering through the great wasteland that was once civilization, War takes out his boundless rage on both the legions of The Destroyer and the armies of heaven in fun and brutal combat.

Here are plenty of slow paced battles, typically against large numbers of enemies and foes, and lost of mythology along the journey.

Overall, Darksiders is a fairly fun and captivating single player game that takes users through a visually captivating world and one with plenty of action and adventure.
