The sequel to one of the most poplar and high rating first person shooter games of all time is finally out for all to buy and try.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has hit the shelves this week in what has been one of the most anticipated releases in the history of video games.
The release was made even more controversial after talks the game could be banned for carrying insensitive footage and going outside the ratings boundaries.
However, despite this, Modern Warfare is now here to stay in Australia, much to the delight of fans and gaming developers.
Backing up a game like Call of Duty was always going to be a tough task, but the folk at Activision have not only matched the quality with their new release, but have gone further ahead in terms of game play quality.
The control system is great, the sound effects and visuals are well above the mark, and the special effects are nothing short of spectacular.
Modern Warfare II contains three main modes: campaign, multiplayer and special ops. The first two are fairly self-explanatory but the third is a new feature.
Modern Warfare 2′s campaign kicks off with a couple of brief tutorials to familiarize players with the controls.
It then plunges them headlong into the game’s story, which, without giving too many plot details away, takes the ingredients from previous releases.
Modern Warfare II adds more twists and turns than a spaghetti junction and then ramps up the testosterone to unimaginable levels.
The game is out now for purchase in selected stores around the country.
