Blur

Car racing video games are a plenty these days and one of the latest games to join the ranks is Blur.

Developed by Bizarre Creations and published by Activision, the game incorporates a unique racing style, which sees it combine real world cars with the arcade style handling and amazing arcade action.

Blur has all the mechanics of a standard car racing video game, plus more.

There are more than 30 tracks to race on, which is more than most other rival games, and there are more cars to choose from ranging form Fords, BMWs and Lotus designs to name a few.

The impressive part of the game, however, is the multiplayer capabilities whereby up to 20 people can join in the fun – the largest in any console racing game.

There are also eight different game modes to choose from.

The basic goal in all the modes is the basically be the first across the finish line, although there are also points given for bashing up other cars along the journey, and ramming them off the track.

Users also have the ability to modify their cars, this can be achieved through conquering three different styles of driving: aggressive, defensive, and show-off.

The combination of over the top power ups thanks to Noss, and the realistic vehicles you hare driving, Blur is like a grown up version of Mario Kart and should be a hit when it is released on most gaming consoles this month.
