After Burner Climax

Aircraft video games have been one of the most popular releases in the market over the past decades, and in fact, largely since the release of movies like Top Gun.

Either way, there is always some good, as well as some bad.

Sega’s series of After Burner games were one of the popular releases in the 1980s and kids and older people used to play it like they were in a real time thrilling fantasy.

Back then it didn’t take much to impress users, and simply having a few special effects and some OK graphics, they kept coming back for more.

The latest game to the franchise of After Burner titles is Climax.

The game kicks off by letting you choose from three aircrafts: the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, F-15E Strike Eagle, and the F-14D Super Tomcat.

Soon, after a short scene explaining that your mission is to prevent a hostile nation from launching a nuclear strike, you find yourself flying at breakneck speeds as squadron after squadron of enemy fighters send impossible numbers of missiles at you.

Equipped with guns for close rage shootings, and missiles for longer distance targets, you try you best to beat down all enemy aircrafts, and kill the final evil force.

The game is pretty cool, and you will enjoy it but one bad thing is that you should be able to have it completed in around 15 minutes of starting it, and the game play can get boring after a while.

After Burner Climax is out now on PS3 and PC.
